  • Visa Application Form Link:

  • Biometric Requirements:

    • Effective from 2nd November 2015, biometric data collection (fingerprints and digital photo) has become mandatory for all Schengen Country visas.
    • All travelers applying for a Schengen visa must come in person to the respective Embassy or VFS center for biometric data collection and application submission.

  • Validity of Biometric Data:

    • The collected biometric data will be valid for 5 years.
    • Travelers who have already provided their biometric data within this period will not need to come in person for biometric submission or application for the next 5 years.

  • Exemptions from Biometric Submission: Travelers exempt from biometric data collection include:

    • Children under 12 years of age.
    • Persons for whom the collection of fingerprints is physically impossible.
    • Sovereigns and senior members of royal families, Heads of State, and members of national governments (along with their official delegations and spouses) traveling for official purposes.

  • Passport Submission:

    • All Schengen consulates in Mumbai will not accept handwritten passports for visa submissions.

Following docs required for Business Visa.

  1. Passport:

    • Original passport valid for at least 6 months from the date of return.

  2. Photographs:

    • Three color photographs (35mm x 45mm) with a white background, showing 80% of the face.
    • Must wear dark-colored clothing.
    • Photographs should be of good quality paper (scanned photos are not acceptable).

  3. Visa Application Form:

    • Swiss Schengen visa application form, duly filled and signed by the applicant.
    • Visa form as per the attachment provided.

  4. Covering Letter:

    • Original covering letter from the company on the company’s letterhead, addressed to the Swiss Embassy in New Delhi, with seal and signature.

  5. Invitation Letter:

    • Invitation letter from the Swiss company on their letterhead, addressed to the Swiss Embassy in New Delhi.

  6. Tickets:

    • Ticket as per the invitation letter.

  7. Overseas Medical Insurance:

    • Overseas medical policy that covers the duration of travel as per the ticket.

  8. Bank Statement:

    • Original personal updated bank statement for the last 6 months, showing the bank name and applicant’s name.
    • The bank statement must have the bank seal and signature on every page, and each page should be A4 size.

  9. Salary Slip:

    • Salary slips for the last 3 months with the original company seal on every page (if employed).

  10. Income Tax Returns:

    • Copy of personal income tax returns for the last 3 years.

  11. Qualification Certificate:

    • Copy of the qualification certificate.

  12. Self-Employed Applicants:

    • Company income tax returns for the last 3 years.
    • Company bank statement for the last 3 months.
    • If the applicant owns a business, provide a copy of the company registration in English.

  13. COVID-19 Vaccination Certificate:

    • Final COVID-19 vaccination certificate for both doses, mentioning the passport number.

Processing Time:

  • Time Taken: 15 working days after submission.

Visa Submission:

  • Submission: As per appointment.

Fees:

  • Visa Fees: ₹6,900.

Following docs required for Tourist Visa.

  1. Passport:

    • Original passport valid for at least 6 months from the date of return.

  2. Photographs:

    • Photographs should be of good quality glossy paper (scanned photos are not acceptable).

  3. Visa Application Form:

    • Swiss Schengen visa application form, duly filled and signed by the applicant (visa form as per the attachment provided).

  4. Covering Letter:

    • Original covering letter from the applicant addressed to the Swiss Embassy in New Delhi, detailing the entire travel itinerary.
    • If self-employed, the letter should be on the company’s letterhead.

  5. Leave Letter:

    • Original leave letter from the company on company letterhead with seal and signature (if employed).

  6. Hotel Confirmation:

    • Hotel confirmation as per the travel dates.

  7. Tickets:

    • Tickets as per the hotel confirmation.

  8. Overseas Medical Insurance:

    • Overseas medical policy that covers the duration of travel as per the ticket.

  9. Bank Statement:

    • Original personal updated bank statement for the last 3 months, showing the bank name and applicant’s name.
    • The bank statement must have the bank seal and signature on every page, and each page should be A4 size.

  10. Salary Slips:

    • Salary slips for the last 6 months with the original company seal on every page (if employed).

  14. Traveling with Minors:

    • If a child under 18 is traveling to Switzerland with one parent, a No Objection Certificate (NOC) letter from both parents on ₹100 stamp paper, notarized with government ID proof of both parents, is required.

  15. COVID-19 Vaccination Certificate:

    • Final COVID-19 vaccination certificate for both doses, mentioning the passport number.
