Following docs required for Business Visa.

  1. Passport:

    • Passport valid for at least 30 days after the intended stay or departure date from South Africa.
    • Must have at least two blank visa pages.
    • Submission of the previous/old passport is mandatory in Mumbai, Pune, Ahmedabad, Goa, and Bangalore.
  2. Visa Application Form:

    • Fully completed Form-11 (DHA-84) in black ink and block letters.
    • The form must be signed by the applicant, and the signature must match the one on the passport.
  3. Proof of Funds:

    • Last 3 months’ bank statement signed and stamped by the bank, showing a balance of ZAR 3,000 or equivalent in INR (for Delhi and Mumbai).
    • Must be on bank letterhead with original signatures and stamps. Passbook, e-statements, or net banking copies will not be accepted.
  4. Invitation Letter:

    • A letter of invitation from the South African host or company stating the applicant’s name, passport number, purpose, and duration of visit.
    • Must include the host’s physical address and contact details.
    • Host’s ID copy (attested by Commissioner of Oaths) required for Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Goa, Pune, and Bangalore applicants.
  5. Introduction Letter from Indian Employer:

    • A reference/introduction letter from the Indian employer stating the name, passport number, purpose, and duration of the applicant’s visit.
    • The letter must include the company’s physical address, contact details, and signature of the authorized person.
  6. Vaccination Certificate:

    • Yellow fever certificate (if applicable, depending on travel route). Check the latest yellow fever policy as required.
  7. Flight Ticket:

    • Valid flight ticket or proof of reservation.
  8. Photographs:

    • Two recent (not older than 30 days) passport-sized photographs (35mm x 45mm).
  9. Passport Copies:

    • Copies of the passport bio-data pages (photo page and address/parents’ page for Indian passports).
  10. Accommodation Proof:

    • Proof of accommodation for the duration of the stay.
  11. For Minor Dependent Children:

    • Parental Consent Affidavit required for minor applicants. Relevant details and forms can be accessed from the South African consulate’s website.
  12. Short-Term Work Visitor’s Visa (Section 11(2)):

    • For short-term work visas, applicants must comply with additional requirements listed on pages 134 and 136 of the DHA-84 application form.
  13. Certified ID Copy of Host:

    • Recently attested/certified (within the last 3 months) copy of the South African ID or valid visa for the foreign passport of the host/company representative.
    • The person signing the invitation letter must provide a valid attested photo ID copy (latest 3 months) attested by the Commissioner of Oaths.

  • Ensure that all documents are signed and stamped appropriately.

Following docs required for Tourist Visa.

  1. Passport:

    • Valid for at least 30 days after the intended stay or departure date from South Africa.
    • Must have at least two blank visa pages.
    • Old passport/previous passport is mandatory for applicants in Mumbai, Pune, Ahmedabad, Goa, and Bangalore.
  2. Visa Application Form:

For Group Submissions (Applicable for Mumbai, Pune, Ahmedabad, Goa, and Bangalore):

  1. South Africa Tour Guide Letter:

    • A letter from the South African tour handling company, listing the tourists and signed by the tour guide.
  2. Tour Itinerary:

    • Signed copy of the tour itinerary from the South African host.
  3. NOC for Leave:

    • No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the employer, school, or university mentioning the applicant’s name, passport number, and duration of visit.
    • The letter must include the physical address and contact details of the organization and must be signed by an authorized person.
  4. Day-to-Day Itinerary:

    • A detailed travel itinerary covering the stay in South Africa.
  5. Vaccination Certificate:

    • Yellow fever certificate is required if traveling through or staying in a yellow fever region.
  6. Flight Ticket:

    • Valid flight ticket or proof of reservation.
  7. Photographs:

    • Two recent (not older than 30 days) passport-sized photographs (35mm x 45mm).
  8. Marriage Certificate (If applicable):

    • The applicant must carry the original marriage certificate for verification at the time of submission at the VFS center.
  9. Copies of Passport:

    • Copies of the passport bio-data pages (photo page and address/parents page for Indian passports).
  10. Original Covering Letter:

    • The letter must state the applicant’s name, passport number, and duration of visit, along with the physical address and contact details of the authorized signatory.
    • The letter should clearly state who will bear the expenses of the trip.

For Minor Dependent Children Applicants:

  1. Parental Consent Affidavit:

    • Submit a Parental Consent Affidavit along with the passport copies of the parents and child, and the Unabridged Birth Certificate of the child.
    • In case of the death of a parent, a death certificate must be provided. If both parents are deceased, the legal guardian must handle the procedure with the death certificates of both parents.
    • In case of divorce, legal divorce documents must be submitted.
    • The affidavit must be less than 3 months old at the time of application. Attested copies should be submitted, and the originals must be kept for travel purposes.
    • If the Unabridged Birth Certificate is in a local language, an English translation affidavit must be submitted along with the original.

  5. Residence Proof of Host:

    • Attested proof of residence from the South African host.
  6. Certified Copy of Host’s ID or Residence Permit:

    • A certified copy of the host’s ID or residential status, such as a permanent residence permit or work permit.
  7. NOC (No Objection Certificate):

    • A NOC letter from the applicant’s employer, school, or university, stating the name, passport number, and duration of the visit.
    • The letter should include the physical address and contact details of the authorized signature.
  8. Vaccination Certificate (Yellow Fever):

    • A Yellow Fever vaccination certificate is required if the applicant will travel through or stay in a yellow fever region.
  9. Flight Ticket:

    • A valid flight ticket or proof of reservation.
  10. Photographs:

    • Two recent (not older than 30 days) passport-sized photographs (35mm x 45mm).
  11. Marriage Certificate (If Applicable):

Additional Notes:

  • Motivation Letter for Multiple Entry Visa: If applying for a multiple-entry visa for holiday purposes, submit a motivation letter along with other supporting documents. The application will not be accepted without this letter.
