Following docs required for Business Visa.

  • Valid passport: Issued within the last 10 years, with at least 3 months validity after the scheduled return, and at least two empty pages (passports with observations regarding the front data page cannot be accepted).
  • Online application form: https://videx.diplo.de/ & declaration duly signed.
  • Two photos: As per specifications (35mm by 45mm, 80% face visible, white background, not older than 6 months).
  • Original covering letter: On company letterhead with complete travel details, including the name, designation of the authorized person, company seal, and signature.
  • Invitation letter: From Germany on company letterhead, detailed, with seal and signature.
  • Hotel confirmation: As per travel date.
  • Ticket itinerary.
  • Travel health insurance: Refer to india.diplo.de/visa for accepted travel health insurances.
  • Personal bank statement: For the last 3 months, showing sufficient balance, along with the original bank seal and signature.
  • Copy of personal IT papers: For the last 3 years.
  • Salary slips: For the last 3 months, with company seal.
  • Indian company registration copy.
  • Company IT papers: For the last 3 years.
  • Company bank statement: For the last 3 months, with bank seal and signature.
  • Final COVID-19 vaccination certificate: With the passport number mentioned.


Important Notes:

  • Only applicants who are fully vaccinated (both doses) can apply.
  • All applicants must come in person for biometrics at VFS. If the applicant has provided biometrics within the last 5 years, we can apply on their behalf.

Following docs required for Tourist Visa.

  • Valid passport: Must be valid for 3 months from the date of return.
  • Two photographs: White background, 35 x 45 mm, with 80% of the face visible.
  • Online visa application form: Signed as per the passport. Link to application form.
  • Original covering letter: From pax on business letterhead with complete travel details, including the name and designation of the authorized person, company seal, and signature. If working, a covering letter on plain paper and a leave letter from the Indian company are required.
  • Personal income tax papers: For the last 3 years.
  • Personal bank statement: For the last 6 months, up to the date of application.
  • Salary slips: For the last 3 months.
  • Overseas medical insurance: As per the air ticket.
  • Hotel booking: As per travel date.
  • Return air ticket.
  • Final COVID-19 vaccination certificate: With the passport number mentioned.

Important Notes:

  • Only applicants who are fully vaccinated (both doses) can apply.
  • All applicants must come in person for biometrics at VFS. If the applicant has provided biometrics within the last 5 years, we can apply on their behalf.

  • Online application form:

  • Two photographs:

    • Size: 35 x 45 mm, with 80% of the face visible.
    • Must have a white background and be taken within the last 6 months.

  • Covering letter:

    • On plain paper, including applicant contact number.
    • If the applicant is self-employed, a covering letter on business letterhead with the company seal and signature is required.

  • Leave letter:

    • Original leave letter on company letterhead, mentioning the applicant’s name and designation, along with the company seal and signature (if applicable).

  • Original formal D obligation letter:

    • From the invitee.

  • Invitee documents:

    • Copy of the invitee’s passport and residence permit.

  • Ticket itinerary.

  • Travel health insurance:

  • Personal IT papers:

    • For the last 3 years.

  • Personal bank statement:

    • For the last 3 months, showing sufficient balance with the original bank seal and signature.

  • Salary slips:

    • For the last 3 months with the company seal (if applicable).

  • Partnership deed or certificate of proprietorship:

    • Required if self-employed.

  • Final COVID-19 vaccination certificate.
